Good View’s farms are located in State of Roraima, in Brazil’s frontier area known as the cerrado. Boa Vista is the capitol of the State. Roraima is located three degrees north of the equator and north of the Amazon River. Being in the northern hemisphere, the crop season is the same as the United States. The crop season south of the Equator is opposite of the State of Roraima and the United States.
The land is mostly grassland with scrub brush scattered throughout the land. The soil is highly acidic and needs initial applications of lime and phosphorus to raise the pH for crop production. Good View has developed about 500 acres for crop production to date. It is also grazing about 175 head of cattle on some of the grassland.
Good View’s properties are located north of Boa Vista. All three tracts have access to an asphalt road.
